What PDF metadata can I change?

All standard document info fields: Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, and Producer. Fields you leave blank keep their existing values.

Why does the PDF title still show the filename in viewers?

Many viewers prefer the embedded Title field once it exists — setting it here fixes what shows in tabs, readers, and search results.

Is my file uploaded to a server when editing metadata?

No. Metadata editing is 100% offline — the PDF is processed in your browser memory and never sent anywhere. Encrypted files are skipped with a warning.

Can I clear metadata completely?
