Frequently asked questions

Are my scans uploaded to a server?

Never. The ZXing decoder runs entirely in your browser — camera frames and images are processed on your device and immediately discarded.

Can it read several codes in one image?

Yes. A multi-detection pass scans overlapping regions and lists every unique code with its position marked on the image.

Which formats are supported?

QR Code, Micro QR, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, Code 128/39/93, Codabar, EAN-8/13, UPC-A/E, ITF and GS1 DataBar.

Is a scanned QR opened automatically?

No. You always see the decoded content first; script and data URLs are blocked from opening entirely.
